On Saturday, May 31, 2025, The Griffiths Family Foundation, in proud partnership with Border City Athletics, presented the 2025 “Girls Can” event at the Toldo Lancer Centre.

The free mini-camp was open to girls ages 10 to 15, with a focus on girls who are underrepresented in sport. It was built around the chance to learn from and interact with Olympians, elite athletes, and professionals who continue to pave the way for girls in sports.

Girls who took part were provided with T-shirts, backpacks, and lunch at no cost, along with other giveaways, courtesy of Border City Athletics.

It was more than a day of sports — it was a celebration of what girls can achieve when given the opportunity to shine. Through engaging activities, inspiring guest speakers, and hands-on sessions, the day focused on the power of sport to build confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of community.
